Restaurant Review – Bistro Rx and the Beast | #GeeksWithForks

KENDRA – Bell

In the words of the of the incomparable Joan Rivers,”Can we talk “? Our most recent ‘foodventure’ that landed us at Bistro Rx is definitely something to dish about. Bistro offers a very charming dining experience. From the paintings on the wall to the perfectly dim lighting, the setting was perfect for a low-key night out.

“The succulent piece of chicken breast was paired with a perfect blend of spices giving my taste buds quite the experience.” – Kendra

Our waitress Brigit was extremely upbeat. She made sure we were taken care of with frequent check-ins without being overbearing.

We started with an appetizer of fried green tomatoes with bacon which was the perfect way to charge our pallets for the main course. I indulged in a jerk chicken sandwich with a side of fries. The sandwich was phenomenal! The succulent piece of chicken breast was paired with a perfect blend of spices giving my taste buds quite the experience.

Bistro Rx provided an excellent overall experience leaving me no choice but to give a 5/5 forks

JON – The Beast

“I hadn’t eaten all day and the ‘HANGRY’ beast inside was growing stronger with each passing second.” – Jon

Have you ever been so hungry that you just feel out of place? Like, your spirit just threw in the towel and left for the spirit plane leaving your body to wander the Earth as a lifeless husk? No? Me neither. I just wanted to be extra dramatic in my intro paragraph.

I hadn’t eaten all day and the ‘HANGRY’ beast inside was growing stronger with each passing second. Hangry is a malevolent entity that that knows no loyalty. It will strangle you from the inside if it’s appetite is not satiated. It will infect your mind and cause you to hallucinate. Everything you see around you, humans, trees, discarded cardboard boxes, traffic lights and stray cats start to look like delicious meals. HIDE YO KIDS! HIDE YO WIFE!

I needed to feed the beast. There was only one option – an elk burger! WUH! Elk?  “Who eats elk?”, you might be asking. THIS GUY! OH MY GAWD!!! Where has this wonderful meat been all my life. I’d never had elk before. Now I want elk on the menu ALL DAY, EVERY DAY! The burger was so delicious, that I had to take a break between bites to savor the flavor. I was literally dancing at the table with enjoyment like some toddler eating in a high chair. Every bite was like biting into a rainbow with fireworks shooting from the burger. The Hangry beast has been satisfied.
