“I was having a massive craving for rolled Thai ice cream” – Kendra

As you fellow Geeks know my birthday was Friday, March 24th and I was having a massive craving for rolled Thai ice cream. Simple enough, right? Well, in a panic to accomplish the goal of the evening a simple Google error landed us at a place called My Thai. I walked in super excited, especially given the setup was very authentic with a laid back vibe. The menu was full of amazing treats with the exception of the all-important Thai ice cream. I ordered the crab fried rice as an entrée, but for starters, we delighted in the shrimp cakes. Although fried a bit hard, the shrimp cakes were pretty tasty! They were accompanied with a tangy sweet and sour sauce that was the perfect addition. The main course was phenomenal. I mean, can you really go wrong with crab and fried rice? Portion size left nothing to be desired. Overall, while it was not the initial destination we were seeking I was very pleased to have found such a great place. I give My Thai 4 out of 5 forks.

“All I can say is, people who think Thai food is too spicy, should NOT be allowed to eat Thai food.” – Jon

This was my first time eating Thai food. Up until now, all I’ve ever heard was how “spicy” Thai food is and how people can’t eat it because it’s too spicy. My Thai has 4 options of spiciness to choose from – 0 being not spicy at all to 3 being really spicy. I love spicy food, so I went with the 3. All I can say is, people who think Thai food is too spicy, should NOT be allowed to eat Thai food. Don’t even fix your lips to say you want Thai food. If option 3 was the spiciest, then people who can’t handle it should just go eat at McDonald’s. Your appetite is not welcome in a Thai restaurant! Those same people probably order pizza without cheese.

I had the Moo Krob, which if you had to guess was some type of beef crab combo. *ba dum tss*. No? That joke didn’t work for you? Anyway, Moo Krob is roasted crispy pork belly with garlic, Thai basil, and Chinese broccoli. It was delicious. If you like your pork, fatty, then this is the dish. Service was great, the food was delicious and the atmosphere, while I felt was just too dark at the table was pleasant.
