Cloverfield, 10 Cloverfield Lane, The Cloverfield Paradox – It’s All Connected!

So, hopefully, by now you’ve watched The Cloverfield Paradox, on Netflix, which sheds some light on the mysteries surrounding the first two movies Cloverfield and 10 Cloverfield Lane and creates even more mysteries.

First off, I’m a huge Cloververse fan and have been since the first Cloverfield movie came out in 2008. Before the first movie was released, there was an ARG (Augmented Reality Game) that started online that included various websites that laid much of the groundwork for the backstory of the first Cloverfield movie. It has been fun playing the game for the past 10 years. Each website has clues that lead to other website sites that expand the story. These sites also had hidden messages that had to be deciphered by cracking a code, playing sound bites backward, searching a video frame by frame some people even went as so far as looking up the actual hosting information for a website and using that info to find more clues. What started as a viral campaign turned into a 10-year long viral game! So all those websites have been updated periodically over the past 10 years, leading up the newest Cloververse movie, ‘The Cloverfield Paradox‘. In those, 10 years what have the collective Cloververse fans learned? Well, we’ve learned that we haven’t even scratched the surface with what is or isn’t happening in all three Cloververse movies. It is a really, really, really deep rabbit hole.

Here are some things to get you started playing the ARG:

It’s All Connected

Tagruato is a fictional company within the Cloverversr and easter eggs are dropped in each of the movies. This company is either directly or indirectly the cause of all the chaos that is happening in the Cloververse. The website is Great place to start. Everything you find on the website will lead you somewhere else…or will it.

It’s a drink. Google it!

All of J.J. Abrams’s movies and TV shows may all be part of the Cloverfield universe!?
